Foreclosure Process

• You will receive a summons and complaint of foreclosure from a process server. 
• You must respond to the court within 20 days of service.
• You should contact your Corona Foreclosure Attorney immediately after being served.
• If you do not respond within 20 days, this does not mean that your home will be foreclosed on the 21st day.
• The lender must file a motion with the court, sending notice to you for a court date to obtain a judgment of foreclosure.
• The foreclosure judgment will provide for a foreclosure sale date in about 30 days.
• There must be a notice that the property will be sold at auction.
• You will not lose your home until the foreclosure sale takes place.
